Holidays, Festivals, and Celebrations this Month

At the Ellie Klopp Library, we are always happy to help share in the magic of the season with books that tell us the stories of wondrous holidays and festivals that people in our community, and around the world, celebrate throughout the year.

Seasonal books are featured at both the Ellie Klopp Library & the E.C. Parent Library.

Advent 11/29-12/24/2015
Hannukah 12/6-12/14/2015
Saint Lucia Day 12/13
Christmas 12/25
Kwanzaa 12/26-1/1
This December, the E.K. Library has been a bustling center of seasonal activity, including a temporary staging area for the magical happenings of our school's annual Winter Festival earlier in the month. Now we look forward to the last days of school activity before our upcoming Winter School Break, including library book circulation at both the Ellie Klopp Library and the Early Childhood (E.C.) Parent Library.

Books about different holidays and festivals can be found on the shelves at the Ellie Klopp Library (particularly in the General Collection, Call Number 394.2). We'd also like to share these links to holiday books from both libraries at the Lower School, available for students and families to explore and read together (click below to see the book lists or books online):

*Tip for searches on our online catalog (on LibraryThing.com):
Please be sure to select "All collections" from the dropdown menu in the upper left corner of your search window, especially if you see
"No books found in this collection."

Happy Winter Solstice (12/22) and Read On!
